Caitlin Eichorn, owner and certified massage therapist (CAMTC #78852)—she/her

Caitlin is a 2012 graduate of Davis High School, a 2015 graduate of UC Davis, and a 2018 graduate of Massage Therapy Institute. Her massages blend several modalities, although she primarily does Swedish massage and Deep Tissue work; she values highly therapeutic and results-based work that’s also relaxing enough to persuade the nervous system to integrate change. Caitlin works slowly and wholeheartedly, customizing each massage to adapt to your current physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Clients appreciate her gentle, supportive presence.

Caitlin also offers Cranial Sacral Unwinding, a gentle form of hands-on restorative bodywork that incorporates long holds, gentle traction, and light compression to initiate a parasympathetic shift away from the "flight or fight" state many of us live in most of the time. With the nervous system at bay, clients are able to release held energy and trauma through subtle, self-correcting movements. This work is done clothed, on a massage table.

In addition to her work as a massage therapist, Caitlin is a foster parent, mom of five rescue animals, and a fiction and memoir writer. In her work on the table and on the page, she draws from her experience as a queer woman with a trans spouse and her history of depression, anxiety, and OCD to help clients who may not otherwise feel comfortable seeking bodywork.

Natalie almond, lead massage therapist and certified massage therapist (CAMTC #86553)—she/her

Natalie is a 2020 graduate of National Holistic Institute’s core 800 hour program. She enjoys blending Ashiatsu, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, and cupping techniques to create a massage that addresses clients’ needs while also enabling them to relax. Her goal is for each client to leave their session moving more freely and feeling rejuvenated. Ashiatsu massage is a deep tissue compression technique that uses the practitioner’s feet while they are seated or standing on a massage table next to their client. “Ashi” allows for deeper, broader, and more even pressure than hands can provide. Cupping uses negative pressure to lift and separate layers of tissue, which can help relax chronically tight muscles and connective tissue, increase circulation, stimulate lymphatic fluid, and more.

Natalie believes that massage is a powerful tool for helping people from all walks of life manage both their pain and stress levels. She feels so fortunate to have found a career that allows her to help people in a meaningful way, every day, and says that she is “so looking forward to meeting new clients and, together, creating a plan to best facilitate their healing.”

Natalie came to us from an independent wellness center in Chico. She and her partner relocated to Davis in June 2022 so that he could study Sustainable Environmental Design at UCD. Although her partner’s program is what brought them to Davis, Natalie loves how open and inviting the town feels, our beautiful parks and wide variety of food, and the overall feeling of peace her family is experiencing here so far. Outside of work, Natalie’s first love is dance. She likes to take classes and attend Ecstatic dances, as well as brew Kombucha, spend time outside with her partner and pups, read fantasy novels, and delve into a good puzzle.

Luis morales, certified massage therapist (CAMTC #88361)—he/him

Luis is a 2021 graduate of National Holistic Institute with over 900 hours of training. He specializes in sports, trigger point, deep tissue, and acupressure massage.

He believes that massage is an amazing way to recover and relax from the stress of everyday life regardless of lifestyle, and that massage shouldn’t be treated as pampering, but as necessary maintenance for your body.

Having been a cross country and track athlete, he knows how bothersome sore and tight muscles can be (shin splints in particular affected him during races and training). He wants to make sure he can provide recovery and stress relief for all his clients and was motivated to move from a national massage chain to a smaller, client-focused practice because he “has always wanted to build and maintain relationships with clients as opposed to trying to get them out of my room due to ‘time constraints’ or rushing to get the next person in and them out. I’d like to massage knowing I’m not being rushed and fully address my clients’ concerns.“

Luis comes from a family who immigrated to the U.S. from Guatemala and is bilingual in English and Spanish. He moved to Davis from Turlock to live with his girlfriend, who is finishing up her undergraduate degree at UC Davis. Since moving here, Luis finds that Davis feels more like home every day due to its welcoming atmosphere and community that cares. He hopes to replicate the sense of welcome and peace this city provides him in his massage. His hobbies include jump roping, gaming, and spending time with his cats.
